Where is Big White

Ask your local Big White real estate agent about Big White homes for sale. From downtown Kelowna, take a left onto HWY 97N and continue for 5.6kms. Turn right onto Hwy 33/Kelowna-Rock Creek Hwy/BC-33 (signs for Rock Crk) continue for 33.1kms, and turn left onto Big White Rd (watch for the sign that says Big White Ski Resort this way). In 22.7kms you'll arrive at your destination at Big White.

Things to do in Big White

Wintertime activities include world-class skiing/snowboarding on one of the 119 runs with 16 full-service chairlifts, offering a variety of terrain for any age and skill level. Big White is known for its light, fluffy champagne powder. 

Thrillseekers can take on the ice climbing wall or tube down the fantastic three-section course with friends and family. Go ice skating on the frozen outdoor pond and cozy up to the wood-burning fire. There is always a stick and puck hockey game happening. Enjoy Nordic skiing, snowshoe and snowmobile tours, or take an old-fashioned horse-drawn sleigh ride through the winter wonderland. 

Winter activities also include Snowmobiling, hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing.

If you have a little one that wants to take up skiing or snowboarding, you can access the bunny hill with a conveyor belt FREE of charge. Located just a few short steps from the lower parking level.

In the summer of 2017, Big White became a four-season playground and offered for the first time world-class downhill biking trails that are lift-assisted. Rip down the mountain on complete suspension mountain bikes. If you're brave enough or don't own a bike and would like to give this a try, no worries, rentals are available. The biking season has grown year after year, and more big-name riders are starting to enjoy the challenging terrain. There are many summertime festivals, including a Ciderfest,  Craft Beer and a delicious pie fest.  

Happy Valley in Big White

For those of you who are just visiting Big White Ski Resort, you'll park at the main parking lot at Happy Valley Day Lodge. 

Here, you'll find access to many attractions, including ice skating, tubing, horse-drawn sleigh ride, ice wall, and snowmobile tours.  

In Happy Valley, you can have either lunch or dinner, located conveniently inside the cafe.

 Local foodie tip try the Kung Pao Power Bowl; it's delicious. 

To access The Village from the lower level, you can take the complimentary covered gondola that runs day and night and is a short two-minute ride. 

The Village at Big White

The Village at Big White is a host to a hub of activity throughout the day, with skiers and snowboarders looking for a break from enjoying the glorious champagne powder. 

Riders come and go from both ends of the Village via the two ski-in ski out runs. 

On one end, riders come down Easy Street to get to the Village. On the other end, leaving to get back to the top of the hill, riders will take Humming Bird and from there arrive at three chairlifts offering a few options. 

There is a six-pack chair, The Snow Ghost Express and a four-pack chair, The Ridge Rocket Express. 

Those looking to ski or snowboard close to the Village will enjoy the easy groomed green runs on the Plaza chair. 

The Village at Big White Food, Liquor & Groceries

With over twenty on-mountain restaurants to choose from, you definitely won't go without great food. 

Locals love the rustic charm of Snowshoe Sams, where the beer is always cold, and the Nachos are always hot and cheesy. 

If you're taking someone extra special out for a night out on the town or, in this case, the Village, you want to head to Kettle Valley Steakhouse *2019 Diners Choice award winner. 

There is both an on-mountain liquor store Big White Beer and Wine, and a convenient grocery store offering all the main staples you'll need during your stay.
